When I was young, I was afraid of everything dark. We used to stay in an orchard that was full of fruit trees. It was a large area and dark. We lived in a large wooden house with very dim lightings. There were many dark corners, as with most of the older homes. For a young girl, this is definitely daunting. Even though I was very adventurous as a little girl, roaming around the orchard, there was a part of me that was very fearful.
My family will tell stories about me being afraid of everything that looked black, including the black noodles! If you look at me, you wouldn’t think that! Well, to make it even worst, my Mom will take me to watch all the haunted movies at the theatre. Talk about bad parenting! Till today I can remember those scary movies that caused me sleepless nights! Long-haired, white dressed, flying woman! Chinese Ghost.
After I became a Christian at the age of 11 years old, I was less fearful of external “ghost” stuffs but there were other fears that was so deep inside that over the years, God began to deal with me.
So, today, I want to challenge you to remove those fears! So that you can live in courage and boldness.
You can begin by asking God to show you what are some of the fears of your life.
Ask God, “What are the fears in my life?
And then follow-up with another question …”What are the Roots of my fear?”
God will show you a situation where fear had the chance to enter. It could be a trauma or a situation from your past. There could be possibly a few but do ONE at a time. There are possible clusters of fear. In my experience no one is totally free of fear. So, take your time with God to deal with it. This is between you and God.

Journal down your areas of healing.
I suggest that you start a journal. Get a book or old book and start to write down what are the areas of healing that the Lord is dealing with you. This is very powerful and important to see the journey and areas that God is dealing with you. Can eventually become a great testimony.
