What is Inner Healing?
Inner healing is the healing of painful memories past and present, sorrow, hurts, emotional trauma and wounds. Also known as healing of the inner man. As stated in Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,…. So, God sees that the brokenhearted needs healing, its not to be ignored. Even God has called people to “bind up” the brokenhearted. Therefore, there must be “brokenhearted” people who needs to be “bind up”. We either should not be in denial of our own pain or ignore others’ pain.
The Inner Man is our soul which consist of the mind, the will and the emotions. Inner Healing also consist of healing of the personal spirit. These healings is a process, just like peeling of an onion. One layer at a time. Some take months and some take years.
A journey.
A necessary one.
It Takes Two: His Part and Your Part
The Inner healing process, it’s a partnership with God. We need to recognize that we need God to come in to those wounded areas, an opportunity for us to surrender, and allow God to heal. We need to want to let go of the past. Because God respect our free will, He will not invade us without permission to do it. Unlike demons, it just needs an “open door” to be considered as an invitation.
John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
There are very few people who will consciously say to the demons, “Please come into my life!” So, why are they in our lives? Because they are just waiting to devour anyone who is not sober or vigilant.
1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Miracles Happen
We have a God who understands our pain.
Psalm 34:18 (NLT) The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
He has paid the price for our healing, on the cross. Healing is available to everyone, without exception.
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV)
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
We can live in peace, joy and faith everyday of our lives, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
John 14:27 (NKJV) Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
It is not denial but indeed supernatural living. Definitely achievable because we have a supernatural miraculous God.
I have taught many people using the very simple 4-Steps to Freedom: Emotional Healing to live a daily life of peace, joy and faith. Since 2016, I have changed most of my teachings to Drs Dennis and Jen Clark i.e. Deep Relief Now. As they they do that, I can see change and joy in their lives. We will never stay the same, EVER again!
Nothing is Impossible for God
Inner Healing works most effective when there is pastoral care, in an ideal circumstance. But as we know, the Luke 10: (KJV) 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few… There are not many people who can find someone who can walk with him or her.
Therefore, we just try our best; you do your part to seek healing and we minister healing and the rest we leave to God to do His part. I personally do not believe that inner healing needs to wait till there are pastoral care opportunities before you get healing. There are many who do self-deliverance with success. I have had many personal healing without having had someone walk with me. In fact, the people who did try to walk with me never offered to minister Inner healing even though they knew how to do it. Despite the failures of human, if we look to God for help, He will never fail us!
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit: The Source of Healing
Inner Healing comes through Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. As a Minister in Freedom International, we bring the client to God, the Great Physician. Without God being present during ministry sessions, nothing can be accomplished. We are merely Facilitators.
Continue to Walk in Freedom
As the bible says,
Philippians 2:12 (NKJV) Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
Inner Healing sessions very often brings freedom to areas of personal struggles. For someone who comes with issues of fear and leaves a session feeling set-free from fear, its great! But in order to continue to feel “fear-free”, one needs to not fall into the same issues again. If we do, we need to go back to God again and ask Him for forgiveness. And get back on track. Don’t allow condemnation, guilt or shame deter you from moving forward.
Its a process of learning to keep your freedom by NOT falling back into the same cycle of sin.
We need to learn to resist the enemy and flee from the temptation to go back to old patterns of living and thinking. This is the key to walking in continued freedom. Or rather the key to any change of behavior.
I hear many people who resist Inner Healing because they think that people don’t keep their freedom. Therefore, they condemn the ministry. Its like saying, why bother taking shower now because I am going to be dirty later, anyway!
The things is that, who is to know, who will walk-out their freedom and who will not? Do we pre-judge someone before they even go for an Inner Healing session? There is still freewill at work here. We can teach and advice but if they do not take personal accountability to walk-out their freedom, is this ministry to be shunned or condemned? Not. I would say, at least they received freedom in the 1st place. This gives people hope that they can be healed and do not have to live in those circumstances. Jesus truly can heal them.
Its no different from any other ministry. I have seen many people who rescues girls from prostitution to only see them going back to it again. So, do we not rescue them? Not.
In my years in Inner Healing ministry, I have seen both sides of the coin. It is still worth it. Every time.
Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
