How it Started
I have been in the Inner Healing ministry officially and unofficially since 2002. It started when I felt that I needed help. So, I attended various courses. Along my own personal healing journey, I also helped others. It started with me just wanting to help a friend, family members and people I meet during Mission Trips and daily life. It eventually turned into a calling. Never in my wildest dream did I imagine this to be my full-time calling and Ministry. I had other passions too, like, evangelism.
Let me share a little how all these started …
In 2012, I was staying in Pattaya, Thailand and heard a soft small voice that ask me to start a Inner Healing ministry for inter-church and inter-denomination. I discerned that it was the voice of God but dared not believe it was. That’s how timid I was! Definitely does not sound like courageous at all!! Hahaha. Many questions came through my head in doubt…
“Why would you choose me?”
“I can’t speak well”
“I don’t know how to teach”
“I am afraid to speak to more than 2 person at a time”
“Why would people want to hear what I have to say?”
“I prefer to stand behind the curtain”
I was shy, lacked courage, had fear of failure & rejection … I did not know how to pioneer a ministry. How? Me? I had no clue what it meant to start a ministry. All my life, I have always served under a someone’s Ministry or under a Church ministry. Cell Group. Evangelism.
I grew up in a Church that had proper structure. Senior Pastor, Board Members, Elders, Cell Group Leaders, and etc. Services were conducted in a Church building and Cell Groups were conducted in a house. That was how I was taught and grew up knowing.
Then the passion inside my heart began to grow and grow. There was no stopping this thing inside my heart. The calling was sure and the Holy Spirit was constantly bringing people to me who was wounded. Every corner I turned, there was someone who needed help.
After some hesitation, in fact after 2 years, I took all the courage I could muster and just started Freedom International. Loved the name, Freedom International because the Lord had called me to an international ministry and to bring freedom. I had 2 person who confirmed that it was time to start. So I obeyed.
I had no students, no mentees and no office. Just my house. My team was Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and me. We are a great team!
My 1st seminar, I had 3 adults and 2 children. 2 Thai ladies and 1 African man who brought his 2 kids. I fed them spiritually and physically! Do not despise small beginnings!
God was and is so patient with me, while He held me by the hand. That I can assure you. I constantly have to go to Him to get courage, direction, love, strength, faith, trust and more. He has never left me alone. Never. He patiently waits for me to catch up with Him.
Its exciting to walk with Him…
