Monique (not her real name) was a newcomer to the church. She looked beautiful but a little timid. Since there were many people that visits the church, I wasn’t sure if she was a local or not. Through some divine plan, I got to know that she just went through a very traumatic event.
Monique was a foreigner who came to Thailand with her Caucasian boyfriend. He owned a bar at the red light district of Pattaya and Monique worked together with him. Due to some kind of misunderstanding, they got into a fight and he physically abused her. She was tied up and was almost strangled to death. Due to some miraculous window of opportunity, she managed to escape with nothing but the cloths on her body. She ran for her life!
Since that day, she has been fearing for her life and had recurring nightmares.
One day after the ministry session, she was totally set free from the nightmares. She began to have joy again and this is a true joy that her newfound faith in Jesus gave to her.
As much as the situation between her boyfriend and her was traumatic and painful, she found Jesus and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. When life gives you some lemon, lets make some lemonade!
