This morning when I woke up, it was a busy day. I had to go to the supermarket to get stuffs, the library to get some books and when I came back, I hit the road running to get food prepared, wash the dishes and clearing stuff. Yeah, also put the laundry to wash.
In the middle of all this, a tune began to play in head and I began to hum it. It started with a few chords. I still wasn’t sure what was developing. A while later, it became a little more clearer but I had no idea what was the name of the song. I searched in google but still had no idea the title of the song.
A few hours later when I finished everything, I sat down at the computer and the words to the chorus became clearer.
I knew that the Lord has put the song in my heart and He was singing it to me.
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
A Thousand Years
Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I’m afraid to fall
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt, suddenly goes away somehow
One step closer
I have died everyday, waiting for you
Darling, don’t be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more
Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything, take away
What’s standing in front of me
Every breath, every hour has come to this
One step closer
I have died everyday, waiting for you
Darling, don’t be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more
And all along I believed, I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me, I have loved you for a thousand years
I’ll love…
This was the pattern of the Lord towards me. During very hard time in my life, He sings a song to me and 100% of it was secular song. You would think that God will sing some Christian song right?
Follow are the past songs which the Lord gave to me – Disney Songs.
You’ll be in my Heart (Tarzan)
A Whole New World (Aladdin)
Zephaniah 3:17 New King James Version (NKJV)
17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
